The Lightning Process
What is it?

The Lightning Process (LP) trains you to reset and reconnect useful nerve pathways, breaking the cycle of unwanted patterns. The seminar-style training course will teach you how to move out of your stuckness, by using your brain’s ability to rewire and rearrange itself.
· You learn HOW you can influence your own health, emotions and body by using techniquesbased on the way the brain and body interact.
· You can apply the Lightning Process (LP) strategy at any time of the day - YOU sit at the control panel of your mind, body and brain.
· You’ll learn and apply The LP with ease, tailored to meet your own capabilities and needs. I’ve had both 9-year-olds and 80-year-olds in the same seminar group.
· The training programme is supportive, interesting and inspiring. Change is usually fast, transformational and life-changing because the body knows how to heal. I teach you to step up, step out and step on!
A section of the training teaches you how to coach yourself, in order to change your state quickly – anxious to calm, tired to energy, pain to comfort for example.
This exercise can be in your head or standing up and moving into different positions, so your brain wakes up.
Step One: NOTICING in the PRESENT
Am I stuck, looping or noticing a symptom?
Is this the best state to be in right now for what I’m doing or about to do?
Is this sustainable or do I want to change it
I decide the next step.
Step Two – I Pause and say ‘Stop’ or …
· (Say it softly for a calm state, energetically for more active states)
· I choose to - step/flip/move into this - way/pathway/side. That or This
· I move my body and head – changing my posture and facial expression. Turn 45 degrees and push that old state away. Stop.
Step Three – encourage myself with my inner coach/voice/me
‘You can do this, well done, believe you can, it’s ok, moving on, you are on track…’
Step Four – WHAT DO I WANT ?
What do I want instead of ‘that ‘ ?
Examples:
Instead of.. Tired, exhausted
I want ..Energy
Vibrant, alive, vitality, to be thriving
Instead of.. to be painfree
I want .. comfort and ease
Other useful words for states:
Healthy
Functioning nervous system
Calm messages flowing in and out.
Calm, tranquil, serene, quiet, still
Relaxed and confident around…
Confidence
In the moment, light and clear headed
Present, in the now
Clarity
Focus
At ease
Like a …..? feather/wave/lake/waterfall/lion……
Step Five – Strengthen the state by
I’m taking myself back to that time when I experienced this very feeling……..?
Or
I’m imagining a future me or scene where everything is going to plan.
Or
I’m ‘borrowing’ from someone or something – a character in a book/movie/athlete…?
Anchor (meaning enhance that feeling) by a gesture or body movement. Look up. Stand tall. Shoulders back. Walk outside.
Behind the scenes your brain will be busy adapting and changing - looking for other examples of this state all day. This is neuroplasticity.
Calm, peaceful and energised.
